Father and son arrested for possession of child pornography

State police has arrested a man and his 23-year-old son, for possession and transfer of child pornography.

With a court-authorized search warrant, The Rhode Island State Police Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Arthur O. Pare, 52, and his Nicholas M. Pare in their Woonsocket home.

Members of the ICAC seized several items of digital media belonging to both suspects.

Police say the father and son were formerly involved in the Boy Scouts of America.  Arthur O. Pare was a volunteer with the Boy Scouts in Woonsocket from 2000 to 2014. However, Police say that there is no evidence of any inappropriate contact between the suspects and minors.
