Federal officers arrest Pawtucket man on child pornography charges

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – A Pawtucket man was arrested at his workplace Wednesday by federal officers on child pornography charges.
Agents from the Department of Homeland Security executed a search warrant at the home of Samuel Maigret, and later arrested and questioned him.
According to the affidavit, he admitted to downloading child pornography, and that law enforcement officers would find more files on his laptop and external hard drive at home.
Maigret also said he had used the Wickr and Telegram apps to exchange child porn.
Maigret is charged with possession of child pornography and access with intent to view child pornography, and receipt of child pornography.
His bond hearing is Friday.
