FedEx truck trapped by high tides in Wellfleet

WELLFLEET, Mass. (WLNE) — A FedEx truck was trapped on Lieutenant Island Road in Wellfleet on Saturday.

The Wellfleet Fire Department said that firefighters responded to the area with a rescue boat around noon to find the driver uninjured.

The driver was then brought to shore and evaluated.

“The Wellfleet Fire Department urges residents and drivers to exercise caution on Lieutenant Island Road, especially during high tides,” the department said. “Rising tides can create hazardous conditions and pose significant risks to motorists.”
