Festival of Historic Houses coming to Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The 42nd annual Festival of Historic Houses will take place in Providence from May 29 – June 8, presented by the Providence Preservation Society.

This year’s festival will focus on the history of the Mount Hope neighborhood and will end with a day of touring through nine private properties of the area.

These self-guided house and garden tours will take place June 8 and will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A five block area of the Mount Hope neighborhood will be the focus of the tour, with the houses displaying the most active period of expansion in this area of Providence.
