Fire at Big E barn required animal evacuations
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The West Springfield Fire Department said a barn fire at the Big E required an evacuation of animals on the grounds.
The fire was reported at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 20.
The department added that 161 horses were found to be safe and only had minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
