Fire breaks out in multi-family home in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — A fire broke out in a multi-family home in Cumberland Tuesday morning.
The fire happened just before 9 a.m. on Mendon Road.
Several surrounding towns were called in for mutual aid. No injuries were reported.
When firefighters arrived, they found that people were still in some of the apartments, but got them out.
The American Red Cross was called because of the damage to the building.
No further information was immediately released.
