Police have identified the child killed in a fire in Westport Saturday night.

Heavy fire engulfed both floors of the two-story home at 9 Mount Pleasasnt Street around 11 p.m.

Officials say 4-year-old Caleb Nardolillo was found dead in his bedroom on the second floor.

A person who attempted to save the boy was transported to the hospital, along with two other victims for burns and smoke inhalation. A firefighter was also treated and released for smoke inhalation.

Caleb’s mother, Melody Nardolillo, 32, and sister, Bella Perry, 7, are currently hospitalized for burns to their bodies and smoke inhalation.

Westport’s Deputy Fire Chief says this is not the first fire to occur at the home. In November 1952, the home was the site of a fire that killed 9 family members.

The fire departments of Fall River, Tiverton, Little Compton, and Dartmouth assisted with fire suppression and medical aid.
