Five injured after incident at Cove House Adult Residential Facility in Glocester

GLOCESTER, R.I. (WLNE)- Five people are injured after an incident in Glocester on Wednesday morning, according to the town’s police department.
The department said that five people were injured, after a 40-year-old man became physical with staff and other residents at the Cove House Adult Residential Facility.
First responders arrived on the scene at around 7:20 a.m. and saw a female employee outside, who had visible injuries.
She and a 53-year-old resident were taken to Rhode Island Hospital to be treated for injuries.
A second resident was taken to Fatima Hospital as a precaution.
The 40-year-old man who had been physical was taken into protective custody and to a local area hospital to be evaluated.
A male employee at the facility was evaluated at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
