Fire Departments extinguish mulch fire in Middleborough

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Lakeville Fire Department said it assisted the Middleborough Fire Department with fighting a large mulch fire Sunday morning.

The fire occurred around 11 a.m. on River Street, which the department said did not have municipal water access.

Fire tankers shuttled over 50,000 gallons of water from Thompson Street and Plains Street to extinguish the fire.
