Fire truck struck by car in Providence

A car hit a fire truck in Providence on Sept. 24, 2025. (WLNE)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Fire Department said a fire truck was struck by a car while responding a fire alarm on Wednesday.

The crash occurred around 3;30 p.m. near Dexter Street while the truck was parked.

There were no injuries, and the department said that the truck did not need to be taken out of service.
