Firefighter battle storage container fire in Freetown

FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE)- Firefighters from the Freetown Fire Department battled a storage container fire on Monday afternoon.

Crews responded to Braley Road by the DCR Fire Tower, where they found a storage container fully engulfed in flames.

Heavy winds and dry conditions caused the fire to spread to the nearby woods and a nearby solar field.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the trailer, a small shed, and a quarter acre of brush and grass.

No one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
