Firefighter injured while crews battle Providence blaze

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital Friday night after battling a second-alarm fire in Providence.

It happened on Chalkstone Avenue around 9:00 p.m., and no one was home at the time.

Officials said the home was badly damaged.

The fire in under investigation at this time.
