ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The Attleboro Fire Department said firefighters battled a fire inside a townhouse bathroom on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded to Milk Street just before 11 a.m. for a report of a bathroom fire inside a townhouse unit.

At the scene, crews discovered the bathroom exhaust fan had ignited and caused “significant smoke buildup.”

Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire and ensure the flames did not spread.

The neighboring townhouse units were not damaged, and nobody was displaced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
