Firefighters battle fire at Narragansett home twice over weekend

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE)- Firefighters from the Narragansett Fire Department extinguished a fire at the same home twice over the weekend.
Captain Kevin Tuthill tells ABC6 that crews were dispatched to the home on Sewell Road at around 5 p.m. on Saturday evening.
One of the three U.R.I. students living in the home was there at the time of the fire.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control within a half hour of arriving at the scene.
The fire started in the bathroom, caused by an issue with a combination fan and light, according to the Narraganset Fire Marshal and State Fire Marshal’s office.
Crews were called back to the same home on Sunday morning at about 4 a.m. for a reported rekindle.
The fire was cleared within the next four hours.
No one was injured during either of the fires, and the home has been deemed unlivable.
