Firefighters battle flames at Fairhaven nursing home

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fairhaven Fire Department battled flames at a nursing home early on Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to the Royal of Fairhaven on Main Street just after 3:30 a.m. and found the front porch in a blaze.
Crews were able to knock down the flames by 3:40 a.m.
Fire officials said that the fire was caused by electric wires in an air conditioning unit. The wires shorted out and ignited the wood frame porch.
No one was injured during the fire.
