Firefighters respond to early-morning house fire in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Seven individuals were displaced in an early morning house fire in Fall River.

Officials responded to a fire reported in a second-floor apartment this morning on Killburn Street.

The apartment was reported just before 2 a.m.

On arrival, officials said smoke was visible from a three-story building with six apartments.

Crews were met with heavy smoke in the stairways, but the fire was contained to one apartment on the second floor.

There was only some reported below the second-floor apartment.

The fire is under investigation at this time.
