First responders’ hike 1.5 miles through the woods to reach motorcycle crash in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — The West Greenwich Fire and Rescue said a person is in the hospital after a motorcycle accident this morning.

In a post to Facebook, officials said they responded to Congdon Mill Road for an accident at the Big River Reservoir.

First responders walked 1.5 miles through the woods to locate the person and bring them out of the woods.

The person was taken to the hospital by Exeter EMS.
