First responders safely rescue lost hiker, dog in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A man and his dog were rescued after getting lost in the woods in Fall River Monday night.

According to Sergeant Moses Pereira with Fall River police, at approximately 7 p.m., officers received a call from a man who found himself lost in the woods near Indian Town Road with his dog.

About a dozen first responders were dispatched to the area of Copicut Woods to search for the man.

After more than an hour searching, responders were able to locate the hiker and his dog and get them out safe.
