Five alarm fire rips through Norton mill building

NORTON, Mass. (WLNE)– A five-alarm fire tore through a vacant mill building on Barrows Street in Norton Wednesday afternoon.

Fire Chief Shawn Simmons said crews worked to save as much of the building as possible, despite it being unoccupied for a number of years.

No injuries were reported. Simmons said the cause remains under investigation.
