Flood warnings lifted in parts of Mass. in wake of heavy rainfall

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Video from our Boston affiliate, WCVB, shows cars stuck in inches of rain on the highway in parts of Massachusetts.

It’s a heads up for any of our viewers who commute on I-93 in Massachusetts, where heavy rainfall closed several roadways this morning.

Some areas saw four inches of rain per hour.

The highway has been reopened in both directions near Milton, Mass.

A flash flood warning was just canceled for northeast Norfolk, Southern Suffolk and North Central Plymouth counties.
