Flooding Potential this Weekend

There is a Flood Watch to go into effect through 8 pm Saturday. A strong area of low pressure will bring showers and thunderstorms and some storms may contain torrential downpours. This excessive rainfall could lead to localized flooding, poor drainage flooding and even rises in area rivers and streams. Saturday night we will clear and the sunshine returns for Sunday, but there’s a catch. Temperatures will likely hit 90 degrees, so it will be much hotter. In fact, it looks like a heat wave will take us from Sunday through at least Tuesday. There is a slight chance of late day showers from Monday through Thursday of next week as well.
