FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan announced that food trucks will come to the city’s waterfront starting Thursday.

Coogan said the event series called “Fall River Food Trucks at the Gates” is in partnership with PVD Food Trucks Events.

Three free food truck nights will be held over the summer at the Gates of the City: June 2, July 7, and Sep. 1.

“Not only will these events provide some family fun for our residents, they will also introduce visitors from across Southern New England to Fall River’s waterfront,” Coogan said. “Our hope is that residents and visitors alike will come down to the Gates, enjoy local food and beer, and explore Fall River’s growing waterfront.”

The event will be PVD Food Trucks first event series in Massachusetts.

“It is always refreshing when we have an opportunity to work with a city that is excited and engaged in bringing in our community events,” Eric Weiner, owner of PVD Food said.
