WARNING: The video shows graphic material that may be disturbing to some.

The footage from RIPTA shows the moment a man fell off a curb and got his leg and foot stuck underneath a bus.

The video, taken from a camera on the door of the bus, shows the bus pull up to the Stop & Shop on Manton Ave., stop briefly, and then begin to take off.

That’s when 49-year-old Alfredo Alomar ran towards it.

He lost his footing, fell off the sidewalk, and got his right leg and foot caught underneath the bus.

He was stuck under the back right tire.

Then you see someone come to his rescue, trying to free him from underneath the bus.

He eventually got loose after being stuck there for almost a minute.

His leg and foot were completely crushed. He is still in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital.

RIPTA is reminding riders not to chase the buses – saying the drivers probably can not hear or see you, and they are also trained not to stop for anyone.
