Former Bruins’ head coach Cassidy lands new job

LAS VEGAS (WLNE) — Former Boston Bruins head coach was not out of a job for long.
The Las Vegas Golden Knights introduced him as their next head coach Tuesday.
“I am excited to join an organization that shares my commitment to winning and can’t wait to get to work with the talent that has been assembled in Vegas,” said Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy.
Cassidy was in charge of Boston for the last six years, including a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals and postseason berths every season.
He was let go earlier this month after the Bruins were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Cassidy is the third head coach in Golden Knights history.
