Former Canton police officer engages in heated testimony in Read retrial

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Karen Read’s defense team has been calling its witnesses to the stand this week.

On Monday, the jury heard from the childhood friend of fired Massachusetts state trooper Michael Proctor, who read texts Proctor sent on the night of John O’Keefe’s murder.

However, as ABC News’ Matt Gutman reports, sparks started flying when Monday’s second witness, a former Canton police officer took to the stand.
