Former correctional officer found guilty of having sex with female inmates

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office said Friday a former Adult Correctional Institutions correctional officer was found guilty for having sex with two female inmates.

Collins Umoh, who’s from Warwick, was found guilty Thursday of  three counts of criminal sexual conduct with an inmate under his direct custodial supervision.

Attorney General Peter Neronha said the incidents happened from July 2017 through August 2018 while he was working at the ACI’s women’s facility.

No further information was immediately released.
