Former Cranston City Councilor Reilly indicted on child molestation charges
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Former Cranston City Councilor Matthew Reilly was indicted on multiple charges Friday, including two counts of first-degree child molestation.
Additionally, the indictment charges Reilly with two counts of second-degree child molestation, one count of enticement of a minor child to engage in sexual conduct and one count of simple assault.
The alleged incidents occurred in Cranston on May 7, 2023 according to the office of Attorney General Peter F. Neronha.
Reilly will be arraigned on July 17 in Providence County Superior Court.
