PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Former State Representative Robert Watson was arrested and accused of breaking into his neighbor’s home in East Greenwich on Tuesday.

According to police report obtained by ABC6 News, Watson was found naked and bleeding Monday afternoon.

The encounter took place in front of young children.

A woman told police that Watson entered the home on South Pierce Road and stood before her grandson covering his private parts.

To her knowledge, Watson did not touch the boy and was only alone with him for a matter of seconds. She described Watson as disoriented and says he was dripping blood onto the floor.

This is the latest in legal troubles for Watson who has a lengthy record.

In fact, in 2011, he resigned from his political position in the wake of a drug and DUI arrest out of Connecticut.

Then, in 2012, the ex-Rhode Island lawmaker was caught again with marijuana while driving in South Kingstown.

Waston would find himself in trouble again just a few years later. In 2016, he was arrested for yelling and swearing at employees at a North Kingstown bank.

In May of 2017, Watson was charged with assaulting his own client.

Watson is being held at the ACI in Cranston as a probation violator, and is due back in court later this month.
