Providence firefighter passes away at 38

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Firefighters Local 799 announced Tuesday that a city firefighter has passed away.

Steven Elliot, 38, was a father of two and a member of the Local 799 and was a Providence firefighter for 11 years.

He was most recently assigned to Engine 2 at the Branch Avenue station.
