Cranston Police Chief Michael Winquist has confirmed that 52-year-old Louis Sinapi is the only suspect in the killing on 55-year-old John Fiore.
Fiore was found dead in his Farmington Terrace Apartment on December 30th by his sister. She went to check on him because she hadn’t heard from him since the day after Christmas.
Fiore was found with multiple injuries including stab wounds.
Sinapi, who was at the time considered a person of interest, was arrested on an unrelated warrant. He is currently at the ACI serving time for a violation of his probation.
Winquist say the investigation is expected to go before a grand jury next week.
