Former Secretary of Education to take over as Fall River Superintendent

The new Fall River Superintendent will be Matt Malone, the former Secretary of Education for the state of Massachusetts.
In a special public meeting held Wednesday night the school committee voted for Malone, who served in his role as Secretary of Education under former Governor Deval Patrick from 2013 to 2015.
Most recently, Malone was the Interim Superintendent of Schools for Saugus, Massachusetts.
He will be replacing current superintendent Meg Mayo Brown.
