Former Tiverton firefighter laid to rest

TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Tiverton firefighter Cipriano Illiano was laid to rest today.

Last week, the department shared on Facebook the passing of their former colleague.

Illiano started working in Providence in 2013, and was described as a proud father and passionate supporter of the Special Olympics.

He worked in Tiverton from 2010 to 2013.

The funeral mass was this morning at Saint Robert Ballarmine Church in Johnston.
