Foster man sentenced after child molestation conviction
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Foster man has been sentenced in Providence County Superior Court after being found guilty in May on child molestation charges.
James Jones, 76, was sentenced to eight years in the ACI with an 18-year suspended sentence and 25 years probation.
Jones was also issued a no-contact order with the victims and must register as a sex offender and complete sex offender counseling.
Jones sexually assaulted two female victims in Foster between 2012 and 2017, both under the age of 14 and known to him.
