Foster Police arrest woman accused of stabbing man

FOSTER, R.I. (WLNE) — The Foster Police Department said a woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing a man on Oct. 25.
36-year-old Kayla Alimandi was charged with domestic violence-felony assault and domestic violence-disorderly conduct.
Around 1:40 a.m., police received a 911 call by a man who claimed he had fallen and cut himself.
During this time, the call was dropped and police were unable to contact the man.
Officers responded to Danielson Pike and found a man with “multiple severe lacerations” to his face, arms, and leg, according to police.
Due to the “severity of the injuries,” an officer had to place a tourniquet on the victim to help with the bleeding, police said.
When police asked the victim what happened, the man said “I don’t know,” and “I have no idea,” according to police.
Officers also spoke with a woman, later identified as Alimandi, who police said would not disclose what happened.
Further investigation determined that Alimandi allegedly attacked the victim with a knife.
The man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with “near-life-threatening injuries.”
Alimandi was taken to the hospital for evaluation, and later charged at the Foster police station.
The defendant was arraigned and taken to the ACI.
