Four injured, including driver, after truck slams into building

SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass (WLNE) — Multiple people were transported to the hospital after a truck drove into the TD Bank on Route 28 in South Yarmouth.

Yarmouth Police and Fire say they received the call just after 11:30am. For unknown reasons the truck left the roadway and became airborne after hitting a median. Four people, including the driver, were transported to the hospital with what appears to be minor injuries.

When the crash occurred, Yarmouth Police and Fire say a bystander was struck by falling debris from a sign that was hit. Two parked cars were also struck prior to the truck hitting the building.

Six people were inside the bank at the time of the crash.

The crash is still being investigated.
