Four people displaced by Cumberland house fire
CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — Fire crews responded at 6:27 a.m. to a Camp Street home in Cumberland for calls of a house fire that spread from the porch.
The front of the house was heavily damaged by the flames as crews continued to monitor the situation.
The family of four was able to get out of the house safely.
“We wanted to make sure that no fire got into the neighbor’s house, we wanted to make sure the air monitoring was fine, and they were safe,” Fire Chief Nicholas Anderson said.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
The heat from the blaze melted a fence and siding on the next door house.
