Free New Year’s Eve outdoor celebration offered in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Skyline at Waterplace is offering a fun and free way to ring in 2020.

The evening includes complimentary outdoor entertainment beginning at 7 p.m. Outdoor programming will include entertainment in the basin, Skyline’s signature laser-light show, a ball drop, and fireworks.

 All outdoor activities are free and open to the public and don’t require an RSVP.

“Providence is the perfect place to celebrate the New Year,” said Mayor Elorza. “Residents from across Rhode Island are welcome to join us for another memorable night in the Creative Capital complete with outdoor musical performances in our very own Waterplace Park and fireworks over the City to finish the night.”

Local food vendors and food trucks will be lined up on Finance Way to provide the food for the night.

In addition to outdoor programming, Skyline will also hold two indoor ticketed events that includes dinner, valet, dessert, and additional entertainment.

Skyline at Waterplace will host two indoor events:

The Skyline One Providence VIP package – includes passed hors d’eourves, dinner, valet, entertainment and a complimentary toast at midnight.  Of course, front row seats to the ball drop and the fireworks show. Tickets are $300.00 and will be a black-tie event.

The Skyline One Providence Rooftop package – includes lite fare, valet, entertainment and a complimentary toast at midnight.  Of course, front row seats to the ball drop and the fireworks show.  Tickets are $75.00 – Proper dress required
