Freetown high-speed chase suspect arrested after stop sticks end pursuit

FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — A Berkley man was arrested after police say he led them on a high-speed chase on Saturday night.

William Silvia, 41, allegedly fled a traffic stop on Chase Road at approximately 9 p.m. Saturday, according to Freetown police.

Officers pursued Silvia into Berkley, where stop sticks were deployed in front his car, ending the chase near the Berkley Community School.

Silvia was taken into custody without incident and charged with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license and others.

Silvia also had two outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest, according to police.
