FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Freetown Police Association (FPA) will be issuing a different kind of citation for positive behavior around town.
According to their Facebook page, members of the FPA will be on the lookout for good deeds and good behavior, such as lending a helping hand or wearing a helmet while riding a bike.
Children and teens caught in the act will be issued a "positive citation," commending their actions and including a coupon for a free kiddie cone of any flavor at Annie’s Ice Cream Shack.
Citations this summer will begin on July 28. Last summer’s campaign was the first, and police say it was met with a "great response" from the community.
