FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — Freetown police released the identity of the person with several active warrants they spent hours searching for Friday.

Brandon Demoranville, who police said has five active warrants out for his arrest including one by the Freetown Police Department, was seen by patrol officers on Chace Road in East Freetown around 1:30 p.m.

This is the road where a homicide took place earlier in the week, which police said is unrelated.

Demoranville, who is 37-years-old, then fled on foot, and a perimeter was set up by Freetown police alongside the Raynham Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.

The search included the use of K-9 and Airwing units.

The Freetown Police Department is asking the public for any help in finding Demoranville.

Anyone with information is asked to call 508-763-4017.

The department added that there is currently no danger to the public as the warrants were issued for non-violent crimes, including breaking and entering and larceny.
