Friends and family gather at vigil for murdered Lincoln couple

LINCOLN, R.I (WLNE) – Family and friends gathered together Sunday night for a candlelight vigil in honor of the couple murdered in their apartment in January.
Police say Kimberly and Mark Dupre were attacked by a man inside their home on Main Street.
Weeks later, neighbors and loved ones are still in shock.
Don Pichette says he grew up with Mark Dupre, and says he was as great of a guy as people may have read about him, and he said that Kim loved him very much.
Pichette said while the attack wasn’t random, there was no way to imagine it was coming.
The man charged with murdering the couple, Timothy McQuesten was found dead inside his cell at the ACI days later.
Foul play is not suspected, and an officer has been placed on leave while the death is under investigation.
