Savannah Soares and Cassie Clauson scroll through pictures Monday afternoon remembering their teammate and friend, 24-year-old Meghan Soltys.

Together with another gymnast, they made up what some called the ‘Four Most Feared but Loved’ Level 8’s in New England.

"Meghan was like our hype girl always bringing up the energy."

Since they were kids, they spent five hours a day in the gym practicing the sport they loved.

"She was always the giggly one – me and her just running around the place she always had a positive attitude.”

“It was through each other we built the confidence to push ourselves to the next level."

Then Saturday morning, the one they call the “leader of the pack” was killed when her SUV hit another car on 146 in North Providence.

Police say she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.

Her friends are remembering her spirit and admiring the way she lived her life – with her boyfriend and their dog, working at a country club, and always wanting to make other people happy.

“She was all about family and friends she was always happy and there for you no matter what was going on."

"Meghan was the leader of us she was always pushing me to be a better person…she was just a great friend."
