Frigid air recedes this weekend, festive flakes late Saturday night
The frigid air continues tonight, with lows near 20 and wind chills in the teens. Things will slowly get better over the weekend.
Expect ample sun on Saturday , with some high clouds moving in late in the day. Highs will be in the upper 30s, with less wind as well.
Late Saturday night, a clipper system will move into New England, dropping around an inch of snow for everyone except those right at the coast.
This clipper has a bit less energy than the one from Thursday morning, and it will also be in and out a little quicker, limiting its output.
Roads could briefly become slippery before the sun comes up,. Once it does, everything will disappear as temperatures climb into the 40s and the sun comes out.
We have two rain systems for next week, one on Monday and the other on Wednesday. Mild air will also be with us for the midweek before chilling back down Thursday into Friday.
Have a great weekend!
