CRANSTON, RI  – Incumbent Mayor Allen Fung clenched a win Tuesday night after voters elected him back into office by a landslide vote, roughly 70% to 30%, according to Fung’s chief of staff.

"I cant thank the taxpayers and residents of Cranston enough for trusting me with another term in our city to continue the progress we made,” Fung said to his supporters at his campaign headquarters.  “We will continue making our city the best city to live in, in America. We’re going to keep doing that – I’m proud of that."

Fung will now take on his fourth term as Mayor.

His opponent, Democratic candidate Mike Sepe, told ABC6 News he was upset about the loss and wished he raised more money and spent more in his campaign.  Ultimately, however, he sent his congratulations to the Mayor Tuesday evening.

"I think I met a lot of people during the campaign – it was a fun campaign. I enjoyed the debates I had with the mayor and I thought it brought the issues out. But the people spoke and they said that they wanted re-elect mayor Fung once again,” said Sepe.
