Gabriel House owner focusing on helping fire victims’ families

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — It’s now been two weeks since a deadly fire at the Gabriel House assisted living facility in Fall River, and we’re hearing more from the facility’s owner, Dennis Etzkorn.

Etzkorn plans to return all salvageable personal items to family members by the end of this week.

In a statement Friday, he also said he will not speak to the media because “it’s not a time to talk about himself.”

Etzkorn says his responsibilities are helping residents’ loved ones and the fire investigation.
