Garbage disposal recall announced due to impact hazard

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Anaheim Garbage disposals sent out a recall on their products due to impacting hazards Tuesday afternoon.
The hazard is a metal component inside of the disposal that can break off and come out of the disposal when in use, which causes an impact hazard.
Consumers using this product should immediately stop the garbage disposals and contact Anaheim Manufacturing for a free replacement disposal to be installed.
There will be no cost to the consumer for this replacement. The disposal housings were sold in gray, silver, black and blue.
The brand name, model and serial number are printed on a label on the bottom or the side of the disposals.
There have been 22 reported injuries of a meal component coming out of the disposal. Three reports have bee issued of a broken component hitting consumers, but no injuries have been reported.
