Gas prices down for fifth straight week in Rhode Island
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gas prices continue their downward trend in Rhode Island as the price at the pump has slid for the fifth straight week, according to AAA Northeast.
The average price for a gallon of gasoline in Rhode Island is down five cents coming in at $3.28 per gallon.
This price is 15 cents lower than a month ago and 47 cents lower than this time last year.
Rhode Island’s average price is also seven cents lower than the national average.
The continued slide could be stymied by the escalation of conflict in the Middle East as crude oil prices rose over the weekend, according to AAA Northeast.
