Gaza protestors gather outside R.I. Democratic Party’s state convention

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A group of pro-Palestinian protestors gathered outside the Rhode Island Democratic Party’s state convention Sunday to urge an end to military aid to Israel.

The protest was organized by the Rhode Island chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America and the R.I. Uncommitted campaign.

The protestors said they want the party to send a candidate who will vote “uncommitted” at the national party convention later in the year to “challenge President [Joe] Biden’s pro-war policies.”

ABC 6 News reached out to the state Democratic Party for comment.
