Generally dry workweek with a warming trend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Tuesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with a slight change of a shower popping up during the daytime. Highs will be in the 70s.

Wednesday we will start to turn warmer and a bit more humid with temperatures back to around 80 under a mostly sunny sky.

Thursday and Friday will be very summery, with temperatures in the mid-80s inland, and humidity peaking into Friday.

A cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms with it late Friday into Friday night, which will pave the way for a gorgeous Father’s Day weekend with lower humidity.

The heat and humidity aren’t done though, as they will begin to build back even higher early next week.

We could be looking at the first widespread 90° day of the year!
