Gillette Stadium to hold preview of Army-Navy game, first in New England

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The highly-anticipated Army-Navy game is only 10 days away.

It will be the first time in the rivalry’s 124-year history that it will be played in New England.

Representatives of both teams and The Kraft Group will host a special preview at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday.

The Army and Navy will battle it out on Saturday, Dec. 9 for the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy.

Organizers said it’s the perfect time for America’s Game to be played in New England.

Massachusetts is the birthplace of the National Guard, and both the United States Army and Navy.

This year also marks 250 years since the Boston Tea Party.

The Bay State will soon make history again.

If Army wins, they get the trophy outright with a win. If Navy wins, they will get to share it with Army.

The match, although quite the rivalry, celebrates America and America’s Game.
